Scope
GenVault Transport Services (GTS) successfully handled a multi-faceted wet lab relocation from Texas to Indiana. Demonstrating our ability to manage risk, protect irreplaceable assets, and deliver creative solutions.
This move required coordination across cryopreserved, temperature-sensitive materials, high-value scientific instrumentation, and more than 450 regulated chemicals.
Multi-Faceted Lab Relocation Solution
Our team collaborated with origin partners to safely pack curved monitors and critical lab equipment, including a mass spectrometer, for servicing and recalibration. Partnering with a commercial move company, they handled the relocation of all non-temperature-sensitive equipment.
Delays in the destination renovation created a temporary storage challenge for the PI, further complicated by budget constraints. GTS provided a practical, cost-effective solution by suggesting on-site storage for the temperature-sensitive freezers and educating the customer on safely storing non-temperature-sensitive materials and consumables at the move partner’s warehouse. This approach ensured that all materials remained protected and that research integrity was maintained. Aligning schedules with another Texas move, we were able to save on shipping costs for both principal investigators while maintaining full compliance and chain-of-custody oversight.
