Each floor of our five-story biorepository is equipped with independent APS (Auxiliary Power Supply) systems and dedicated circuit panels, allowing us to isolate and control power by unit or floor. In an emergency, we can strategically power floors up or down without compromising the integrity of stored samples and materials.
Freezers are arranged around high-efficiency LN2 delivery lines, and every unit is monitored continuously with dual-sensor REES technology to ensure uninterrupted temperature and liquid nitrogen level control.
Redundant compressors support all walk-in cold rooms, while structural reinforcements and airflow-optimized open decking provide added protection in the event of seismic activity or extreme heat. VESDA air-sampling systems and Tesla-grade security, including facial recognition and garment-based tracking, ensure early warning and 24/7 monitoring of every inch of the facility.

Our −20°C and −80°C storage environments are supported by layered infrastructure and power continuity systems. GenVault’s five-floor facility is equipped with primary and backup power sources, including on-site diesel and natural gas generators and additional emergency fuel reserves. Redundant compressor systems and real-time temperature monitoring safeguard every sample. In the event of a prolonged outage, GenVault is prepared to maintain operations for up to 14 days without grid power, ensuring material stability and uninterrupted service at every stage.
Every unit is continuously monitored by REES environmental control technology, with built-in alerts for temperature fluctuations and system issues. Alarm notifications are triggered across multiple channels, including phone, SMS and email, ensuring rapid escalation. Our on-call technical team is available 24/7 to respond to alerts, manage equipment issues, and maintain sample security without delay.
